2011 Scott Plasma 3 Premium Triathlon Frameset

The new 2011 Scott Plasma 3 Premium Triathlon frameset is a fifth generation aerodynamic time trial and triathlon design with refined features from four previous generations of aero bikes, in addition to the most advanced wind tunnel design to date.

The Scott Plasma 3 Premium frameset is Scott's top end Tri specific frameset/fuselage designed for use with traditional(non-Di2), mechanical drivetrains such as SRAM Red, and Shimano Dura-Ace 7900 mechanical. Cable routing is internal and aerodynamic.

The Scott Plasma 3 Premium has two compatible stem lengths: 75mm and 90mm, and two rise options: zero or forty degrees. These stems allow the use of your cockpit of choice. The current stock model is spec'd with the 75mm 40 degree stem and the zero degree stem will be available at a to be determined date. The oversized clamp stem can accommodate your favorite 31.8 mm clamp diameter base bar or integrated cockpit. One piece cockpits that include a built-in stem are not compatible with the Scott Plasma 3 Premium.

Part of the evolution of the Scott Plasma 3 Premium is the realization that athletes use aero bikes in the real world with minimal technical support. As a result the aerodynamic design of the Scott Plasma 3 is also practical, with standard brake calipers and an adjustable seatpost. The Plasma 3 is easy to adjust and maintain and easy to pack into a travel case for flying to your "A" race.

The full aero HMX Net/IMP5 carbon fiber used in the Plasma 3 is the most sophisticated carbon lay-up available in an aerobike from Scott. It's what the top pros ride. The new, deeper chainstays enhance drivetrain performance, steering and stability, and frame stiffness during out-of-the-saddle accelerations.
